Berlin University of the Arts, Studio Arets

The seminar for Studio Arets at the Faculty of Architecture focused on the role of architecture and the city in contemporary movies about the city of Berlin. By means of various media such as movie, drawing and modell building the students were asked to create an three-dimensional architectural model based on their analysis of the respective movies. Set up as an interdisciplinary seminar various guest lectures from different professional backgrounds were invited to speak about their work and act as critics for the student's final presentation. The invited lectures were Nele Vesta Zareh (Architect), Torste Moschüring (Architect), Stefanie Schulte Strathaus (Curator), Hannes Stöhr (Movie-Director), Thomas Schadt (Movie-Director), Daniel Harder (Movie-Director), Bruno Ebersbach (Architect), Arne Krasting (Historian, Hubertus Siegert (Movie-Director), Jens Reinert (Artist), Sophia Bavas (Movie-Director), Carson Chan (Curator), Daniel Kerber (Artist).
