“Diamond Dogs” is a series of mash-ups and remixes of familiar and iconic pop cultural imagery. The notion of the cut-up or the collage, which has a historical relationship to experimentation in literature, has been radically transformed by sampling and mashups in music culture, a phenomena that this series not only references but embodies. The collages have strong auditory component; each gesture has a sound, each line has a rhythm. Moreover, the images retain a filmic quality, a dynamic movement.
