After ten successful editions of Festival De Wereld van Witte de With with 30.000 - mainly Dutch - visitors annually, the festival announces its international ambitions. Within a period of three years (2010 – 2012) the festival aims to be an international and innovating visual arts festival; showcasing both international and Rotterdam visual arts talent, facilitating artist collaborations and organizing network activities for art professionals.For this new course the festival has partnered with Ruud Reutelingsperger, artist and co-founder of the Rotterdam artist group Observatorium. With this edition being a prologue, Festival De Wereld van Witte de With will implement its new and ambitious course over the next two years. Early on Lukas Feireiss has been invited to join the creative think-tank behind the the three-day art festival.
