As a closure of Idiodysées - his year as guest curator at Rogaland kunstsenter 2010, Jonas Liveröd invited co-curator Lukas Feireiss to dive deep into the dark heart of architecture with the show Neverlands revisited.

Loosely following in the footsteps of Barrie's famous children's novel on eternal childhood, immortality, and ultimate escapism, the curator/artist team consisting of Malmö-based  Jonas Liveröd and Berlin-based Lukas Feireiss together with Fiuni - Stavanger  School of Architecture - will explore and sojourn a realm of weird and wondrous architectures and spatial constructions in a three-day collaborative workshop. In a ecclectic search for bizarre and twisted concepts, ideas of buildings that point beyond the restrictions of the factual, it offers visions of an alternative reading and understanding of the built environment. Together they attempt to create a tantalizing full-scale installation  at Rogalands kunstsenter in Stavanger.  From Honk Kong's Walled City and Cairo's Garbage City to the Winchester mystery mansion and the woman who married the Berlin Wall, Neverlands revisited discovers the secret lives of buildings.

Neverlands revisited explores the territories  where fantastic, visionary, dictatorial, religious, accidental, outsider and abandoned architecture belong. Places where history has transformed the architecture into a mythical beast. The exhibition will engage in a fictional narration where the confrontation of the real and surreal, the illusion and the disillusion, the utopia and distopia, creates a creative friction beyond good and evil.
