The Re-Imagining Architecture exhibition presents an ecclectic survey on architecture and the city as a primary source of inspiration and stimulation in the contemporary arts. The featured projects in this show by Matias Bechtold (Germany), Daniel Gonzalez (Argentina), Dionisio González (Spain), Evol (Germany) and Erik Olofsen (Netherlands) offer a conspiciously unconventional view on the city. The presented works illustrate a hightend creative reflexivity on the subject. Beyond Architecture examines the original responses of artists to the influential strength of architecture in visual culture and explores how built forms are being used and abused in their work, thereby distending and extending space, and perhaps offering alternatives to the autonomous presumptions of architecture.
